Next year’s NYC budget: Help secure funding for culture for every New Yorker!
Our city leaders are working on a budget for next year—to be voted on in June. It is a tough year, with the pressure to trim costs in nearly every area. We need to make it clear that culture is critically important to our city’s emotional and economic health. We stand with colleagues across the sector asking that the city at long last increase the base funding for the Department of Cultural Affairs, and add additional funds to more fully cover every organization, large and small.
What you can do: 1) Attend the rally on Monday, May 22nd at noon. 2) Use our automated link to easily send an email to the Mayor and your Council Member (details below)

Right now, the city is shaping next year’s budget. We need the City Council to stabilize cultural funding by increasing its base line in the budget, and to add additional funds to more equitably fund our ecosystem! Please take a moment to complete our template and send a note to the Mayor and your Council Member asking them to#FundCulture4NYC
